Just had to share because when something like this happens it sure makes you appreciate AG and their Doll hospital. In late September, DD and I attended the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at Walt Disney World. We had a wonderful time and DD was given a My Disney Girl doll dressed as Aurora. She loves the doll and has enjoyed playing with her even though the hair is messy. Tonight we used a wig brush and tried to style the doll's hair. We also changed the doll and to our dismay her arm fell off! Her arm has a plastic ball and socket type joint and it broke at the joint. DD is a very gentle "little mommy" so I feel certain it is just the poor quality of the doll. DH and I tried to see if it could be mended but the only fix I see is permanently attacning the arm back into the socket which would mean no movement. I am going to call WDW tomorrow to see if they might be able to send a replacement. DD was in tears and went to bed sad even though DH and I assured her that it wasn't her fault. As I said in the title of my thread, I sure wish WDW had a doll hospital for their My Disney Girl dolls. It is times like this that I truly appreciate the quailty of AG items, their willingness to make things right, and the fact that the hospital is there for any mishaps that occur.

Oh I'm so sorry that happened. Perhaps you could take her to a local doll shop? I think there's one around here called the doll hospitol and toy soldier shop, or something along those lines. Maybe you could find a store like that near you that could fix her? I hope it all turns out alright! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

A lot of places have them-we have one right down the road at my watering hole (Dunkin' Donuts)

I am really sorry that happened-but accidents DO seem to happen.

Did the arm snap into the shoulder joint or was she "strung" with a piece of elastic. If the latter, restringing her would be simple.

I'm sorry that the doll broke. I agree on the no god quality. Disney though has discountinued the line, the dolls were on 50% off before December. So I do hope you find one down there today.

Thanks so much for the offer. That was really nice of you. We're going to WDW in early May so we'll be able to get one then if DD wants another. I'm going to call them today to see if they can do anything about it. I hope you have a wonderful trip. WDW is our favorite vacation spot. We are HUGE Disney fans. Have fun!

So sorry, that this happened to your little girl!

If those dolls are discontinued and Jillian wants another doll, you might want to check Ebay for it.
